Homefront Handyman Co. Call (407) 555-0119

Mount Dora, Florida · Veteran-owned · Since 2014

The list that’s been on the fridge since March —

One visit. One flat rate. Done.

Homefront is the handyman who answers the phone. Bring the whole list — the TV, the drywall, the sticking door, the grab bars — and we’ll clear it in one booked morning. Half day, $329 flat.

2,300+ list items crossed off · zero unreturned calls

What we do

Everything on the list gets a line. Here are the usual ones —

Small jobs, done like they matter.

“Hang the TV — and make the cords disappear.”

Mounting & hanging

TVs on drywall, block, or over the fireplace. Shelves, mirrors, curtain rods, gallery walls. Studs found, cords concealed, dead level.

“Patch the wall before the in-laws land.”

Drywall repair

Doorknob holes, settling cracks, anchor blowouts. Patched, texture-matched, painted to blend — you’ll lose track of where it was.

“That box has been in the garage for a month.”

Assembly & install

Furniture, grills, shelving units, like-for-like ceiling-fan swaps. Built square and tight, packaging hauled off.

“Make the house listen to my phone.”

Smart-home setup

Video doorbells, thermostats, locks, cameras. Mounted, paired to your phone, and explained in plain English before we leave.

“Mom’s shower scares me.”

Senior-safety modifications

Grab bars anchored into structure, handrails, threshold ramps, brighter light where feet actually land. More on how we do this below.

“…and the forty other little things.”

The list itself

Sticking doors, caulk lines, wobbly fans, high bulbs, weatherstripping, dryer vents. If it’s on the list, it counts.

The flat rate

“What’s it going to cost to just… hand somebody the whole list?”

One number, before we start.

A half day is $329, flat — up to four focused hours, however many jobs that covers. Tap your actual list and watch it fit.

Your visit $329 half-day flat · up to 4 focused hours

$329, half-day flat. Bring the whole list — a TV, a drywall patch, three pictures, a sticking door, and a bathroom’s worth of caulk usually fit in one visit with room to spare. Bigger list? The full day is $579, flat.

Materials at receipt cost — you see the receipt. No trip fee inside our area. The number we say on the phone is the number on the invoice.

Senior safety

“Mom’s shower scares me, and I’m 400 miles away.”

Safety work, with dignity.

Half these calls come from another city — a son in Charlotte, a daughter in Tampa, worrying at a distance. Here’s how we do the work: grab bars anchored into stud or solid blocking (never just tile), handrails that match the house, threshold ramps that don’t announce themselves, and brighter light where feet actually land. It ends up looking like the home got nicer. Because it did.

Straight answers

“Will you at least tell me if it’s not your job?”

Here’s what we won’t touch.

A handyman who claims he does everything is about to do something badly. These jobs need a licensed contractor, so we don’t take them:

  • Roofs & anything structural framing, load walls, additions
  • Electrical panels & new circuits like-for-like fixture swaps are fine; new wiring is not
  • Gas lines appliances that burn something get a licensed pro
  • Plumbing behind the wall faucets and caulk yes; re-piping no
  • Water heaters & HVAC permit items in Florida — a licensed trade does those
  • Anything that needs a permit if the county wants paperwork, you want a contractor

We’ll say so on the phone — not after we’re in your driveway — and we’ll name the kind of licensed pro the job actually needs. Owner-run and veteran-owned. What that means here is boring and useful: the callback happens, the truck is clean, the tarp goes down, and the work gets checked twice before we load up.

What neighbors say

The list-keepers, on the record.

He showed me the level line on the wall before a single hole went in. TV’s dead center over the console, the cords are just gone, and he swept up like he’d never been here.
Curtis O. · Sylvan Shores, Mount Dora
Two grab bars and a stair rail, anchored into the studs, done before lunch. My daughter in Atlanta had photos that afternoon — she booked him, and I never had to touch a phone.
Delia N. · Lakes of Mount Dora
Eleven things on my list. He called back in twenty minutes, showed up Thursday at eight like he said, and by noon the whole list was gone. $329, exactly like he said.

The circle is small for the same reason the won’t-touch list exists: we only book what we can do right. Permit work needs a licensed contractor wherever you live — and a promise to be there at 8 means being close enough to keep it.

We reply the same day — usually within the hour.
